Nobel Peace Laureates 2020: list of all the laureates and winners in history

On December 10, the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize will be awarded in a ceremony that will be held virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic. This year’s winner is the United Nations World Food Program (WFP).

This body has been elected “For its efforts to combat hunger, for its contribution to improving conditions for peace in conflict-affected areas, and for acting as a driving force to prevent the use of hunger as a tool for war and conflict,” said Berit Reiss-Andersen, chair of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, after announcing the winner.

This award has been awarded since 1901 and supposes a recognition “to the person who has worked more or better in favor of the brotherhood between the nations, the abolition or reduction of the raised armies and the celebration and promotion of peace accords”, according to the testament of the founder of this award , Alfred Nobel.
