MTV Video Music Awards 2019: Rosalía nominated in the Best New Artist category

The MTV Video Music Awards 2019 (MTV VMAs) are delivered this Monday at a live gala that promises to give people talk. Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande lead the nominations for the statuettes with ten each, among which “video of the year”, “song of the year” and “best pop” stand out, thanks to their albums “LOVE” and “Thank U, Next”, respectively.

The list is completed by the five most nominated at the MTV VMAs 2019: Billie eilish, who fights in nine triads; Lil Nas X, who does his thing in eight; and Halsey, in six.

Actor and comedian Sebastian maniscalco will host the 2019 MTV VMAs, which will be held for the first time in New Jersey from the Prudential Center.

Swift’s gay pride anthem “You Need to Calm Down” and Grande’s hit “Thank U, Next” will meet for top prize with Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy”, Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” and Billy Ray Cyrus, “A Lot” by 21 Savage and J. Cole and “Sucker” by the Jonas Brothers.

Eilish, 17, won nine nominations including artist of the Year. Other nominees in this area are Ariana Grande, Cardi B, Shawn Mendes, Halsey and Jonas Brothers.

Rapper Lil Nas X, whose “Old Town Road” just tied the 26-week record for top spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, got eight mentions.

Additionally, this year’s event will feature two new categories: “Best K-Pop” and “Video with a positive message.” And for the second year in a row they will compete in “best latin video“the stars of Spanish music, like J Balvin, Maluma, Rosalía, Bad Bunny, Daddy Yankee and Karol G, among others.
