MTV Video Music Awards 2020 LIVE ONLINE: day, time, channel and everything about the VMAs

A new edition of the MTV Video Music Awards It will develop to delight everyone, but this time things will be different. And it is that with the pandemic, the ceremony will be held with a series of security measures to avoid infections by COVID-19. Thus, the show will no longer be at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, as originally planned, but in the open air.

The MTV VMA 2020 awards ceremony (MTV Video Music Awards) will be held today August 30 in New York.

THE MOST NOMINATED

Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande lead this year’s VMA nominations, with nine nominations each, including their joint hit “Rain On Me” which could rise as the video and song of the year.

Behind them were Billie Eilish and The Weekend, with six nominations each, and Taylor Swift, with five mentions, as their acclaimed latest work “Folklore” was released after the deadline.

Among Latinos, of J Balvin’s four nominations, three were for Best Latino Video and another for his collaboration with the Black Eyed Peas on “Ritmo (Bad Boys For Life)”.

By category, the candidates for the best video clip of the year are, in addition to “Rain On Me”: “Everything I Wanted” by Billie Eilish, “Blinding Lights” by The Weekend, “The Man” by Taylor Swift, “Life Is Good” by Future ft. Drake and “Godzilla” by Eminem ft. Juice WRLD.

For their part, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Megan Thee Stallion, Post Malone, Da Baby and The Weeknd will compete to be named artist of the year.
