Grammy: Artists Gather Today to Celebrate Latin Music

Tonight the twenty-second edition of the Latin Grammy takes place, with a ceremony that will be held in Las Vegas, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The event will bring together prominent figures of different genres in a special night of celebration of Latin music. The proposal can be followed through the television broadcast, at 10 pm, on the cable channel TNT.

After having been held last year with a predominantly virtual version, with limited attendance of guests and artists, this time the ceremony will once again be held as the public was used to, with the presence of references from the international music scene, various performances on stage and the conduction of not just one but three figures: Ana Brenda Contreras, Carlos Rivera and Roselyn Sánchez.

Among the presentations of the night, the performance that Gloria Estefan, Anitta, Carlinhos Brown, Laércio da Costa, Pedro Capó, Farina, Giulia Be and Diego Torres will offer stands out, when interpreting three songs, Opening doors, When there is love and Magalenha. In addition, the public will be able to see other outstanding artists, such as Fito Páez, Ricardo Montaner, Evaluna Montaner, Residente, Bella Thorne, Matteo Bocelli, among others, who will be in charge of presenting the winners of the night.

PREMIÈRE. Prior to the grand ceremony, the Latin Grammy Premiere will be held, an event in which, along with offering performances, the winners in 45 of the 53 award categories will be announced. This event will feature a segment aimed at the Brazilian public, in which the statuettes corresponding to the shortlists in Portuguese will be awarded.

Under the leadership of Kany García and Carolina Dieckmann, the Première will feature performances by Gera Demara, Nora González, Zoe Gotusso, Os Baroes da Pisadinha, Nando Reis, Jon Secada, Lupita Infante, among others. On the other hand, the winners of the shortlists will be announced by Roxana Amed, Pedro Capó, José Gaviria, Melim, Covi Quintana, Sara Correia, etc.

In person, the proposal will also be held in Las Vegas, at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Mandalay Bay and can be seen from social networks, on the Latin Grammy fanpage and from the official channel of the Latin Recording Academy in Youtube.

NOMINEES. The singer Camilo is one of the great favorites, accumulating ten nominations. Then he is followed by Juan Luis Guerra, with six calls, and then, C. Tangana, with five nominations.
