Bayern Munich crushed a fifth division team, Bremer, with a 12-0 triumph this Wednesday in the first round of the German Cup, in a match where Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting shone with four goals.
Figures such as Robert Lewandowski, Manuel Neuer or Leon Goretzka did not travel for this match, but Bayern were clearly superior at all times and at half-time they already had five goals ahead.
Bremer was left with ten men in the 77th minute, when they lost 7-0, and in that last quarter of an hour of the game they received four more goals (Cuisance, Choupo-Moting, Sarr, Tolisso).
The other DFB Pokal first round matches were played in early August. This meeting had been postponed due to cases of covid-19 on the Bremer campus.

On March 1, Pilar made history in the Paraguay Cup this Wednesday, by becoming the first team from the Unión del Fútbol del Interior (UFI) to eliminate another from the First Division.
The Pilarense team endured the dominance of Nacional in normal time, it could even have won it with a counterattack in the last play, but there was still one more chapter to write in the feat.
And in that last chapter, the one with the penalty shootout, Primero de Marzo had a hero, a teacher … literally. It is Mario Quintana, the goalkeeper, who covered the three shots of the tricolor and was the main person in charge of the classification.
In conversation with Versus Radio by Universo 970 AM, Quintana told his life story and commented that he has a degree in Education Sciences and a teacher. “I am 22 years old, I recently received a Bachelor of Science in Education and I teach some students,” he said.
He also recounted all the journey he takes to train in the team. “I travel 80 kilometers more or less, from Tacuara (his place of residence) to Pilar. It is 39 kilometers round trip and I do the journey by motorcycle. He spent 20,000 guaraníes per day on fuel,” he said.
Likewise, he said that the March First squad is made up of “farmers, mall workers, carpenters” and several footballers with other trades. “We played for the love of the jersey and now we are all going to have dinner together on the way back to Pilar,” he said.
El Primero de Marzo de Pilar is another of the teams that wrote a beautiful story, one of the many that the Paraguay Cup has had so far.
The interim coach of the Venezuelan team, Leonardo González, announced the final list of those called up for the Elimination combo, where on September 9, the “Vinotinto” will visit the Defenders of Chaco.
It should be remembered that José Peseiro, former coach of the Venezuelan team and who resigned days of qualifying matches, had “reserved” 55 players on a preliminary list, but left before confirming all.
Leonardo González, current coach of Venezuela, chose 28 players for the triple date, where in addition to Paraguay, the “Vinotinto” will face Argentina, at home, and Peru as visitor.
The great figures of the selection will be present, waiting for what happens especially with Tomás Rincón and Darwin Machís, from Torino in Italy and Granda in Spain, respectively.
The “Vinotinto” will be led, once again, by its scorer Salomón Rondón and seconded by its stars: Josef Martínez, Yeferson Soteldo and Rómulo Otero.
