Leonardo DiCaprio: A celebrity that endures!
Leonardo DiCaprio is possibly one of the most iconic actors of all time. His talent, versatility and ability to adapt to any role made him a world star and also made him appreciate off the set. DiCaprio has worked with some of the greatest directors in the history of cinema, such as Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino and Alejandro González Iñárritu.
As proof of this great success, his career has been marked by prestigious cinematographic awards and recognitions. He has been nominated six times for an Oscar (which he won on one occasion), won three Golden Globes and many other accolades that inevitably elevated his status as an actor of extraordinary ability.
The Revenant: In this film Leonardo DiCaprio won an Oscar that marked his career
It is impossible not to start with The Revenant, the film that allowed Leonardo DiCaprio to win the award that marked his career until then. Alejandro González Iñárritu (Amores Perros, Babel) chose DiCaprio to play Hugh Glass, an American explorer and guide who became famous for fighting and surviving a grizzly bear. In this film, Di Caprio put his body through very demanding tests, braving the cold and hunger to deliver the performance we all know today. It is perhaps the actor’s self-sacrifice to his profession, which reaches the highest level in this film, that allowed him to receive the coveted Oscar.
Nominated for the Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role, DiCaprio beat the competition of Bryan Cranston, Eddie Redmayne, Michael Fassbender and Matt Damon.

Gilbert and Arnie’s father committed suicide years ago, their mother has serious weight problems, and their older brother died in the war. Young Becky, a young girl who travels with her grandmother, distracts Gilbert from his family commitments and responsibilities.
The strength of this performance and the dramatic load it carries earned DiCaprio an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor. What stands out in particular is the actor’s ability to impress despite his young age.
