“The Texas Department of Agriculture can and should be doing more for Texans,” Gilbert said. “TDA has the potential to become the state’s strongest consumer protection agency,” he said as he introduced the policy, which was centered around food safety and consumer protection, eminent domain reform, agency restructuring and providing economic incentives to boost Texas’ agricultural economy.
